Are you looking to play some bingo and win big? While bingo may seem like a game of pure luck, there’s actually quite a bit of strategy involved.

So, how do you increase your chances of winning?

Check out this guide to learn how to win at bingo.

1. Bring the Right Supplies

If you plan to play bingo in a bingo hall, then you need to bring the right supplies. The top items we suggest bringing are a bingo dabber and masking tape.

While the bingo hall will usually provide you with chips or markers to mark your numbers, dabbers are the most efficient way of marking. Masking tape should be used to secure your cards to the table.

2. Play at the Right Time

Whether you’re playing Double Bubble Slot bingo online or playing in a big bingo hall, you need to choose the right time to play the game.

Remember, every bingo game has a winner, and fewer players mean your chances of winning increase. For this reason, we suggest playing in the off-peak hours. Typically, this means playing during the workday, between the hours of 9 and 5. If you can’t play between these times, we suggest playing early in the morning or late at night.

Also, make sure to scope out the bingo halls in your area to see what the attendance is like.

3. Buy More Cards

One of the best ways to increase your chances of winning at bingo is to buy more cards. Of course, more cards means you have more to handle, so the trick is to figure out what number works for you.

If you have too many, you may end up losing track of all the numbers. We suggest starting with no more than 4 cards, and then adding a card each time you play until you figure out your amount.

While buying more cards obviously means spending more money, it does greatly increase your chances of winning. For example, if you’re playing a game with 20 people and everyone has one card, then everyone has a 5 percent chance of winning. But, if you’re playing a game with 20 people and you have 4 cards while everyone else has 1, your chances of winning increase to 17 percent!

4. Choose Cards With Median Numbers

In bingo, there is something known as the Tippett theory. This theory suggests that median numbers are called more often in a bingo game. For example, if the bingo game you’re playing is using the numbers 1-100, then you should try to choose numbers in the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

While this theory has never been proven, it doesn’t hurt to test it out.
