How To Improve Your Small Business: Office 365 Small Business Guide

One of the best ways to improve your small business is to use Office 365 Small Business.

Implementing technology into your business makes it more efficient and helps it grow.

Microsoft Office has stuck around for many years now. It remains the best group of applications for word processing, data entry, and creating presentations.

In this short guide, we will show you why you need to upgrade to Office 365 Small Business for your company.

The Guide to Office 365 Small Business

While you may be using a great alternative, we still believe that Microsoft’s Office suite is still the best option for your business. We advocate for office 365 migration for any small business.

Here is why you should make the change today and how to do it:

It’s Affordable

Dispel the notion that Microsoft Office will break your bank. Microsoft Office now works as a subscription service.

Your company has to pay a monthly fee to use the software programs in the suite. For the premium version, it costs $15 per month. You can also add mobile-friendly apps for each user for an additional $5 per month.

You can pay monthly or you can pay an annual fee – often the latter option will offer a discount.

New Features

The latest version of Office 365 has many new great features.

These include Skype, which is also part of the Office 365 suite. The latest version of Skype loads faster than previous versions. It has HD calling for groups, allows file-sharing, and direct text chatting.

For Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, there is now a translation feature. With this, you can translate a portion or the entirety of your text or data.

PowerPoint has new transitions as well as new navigation methods for presenting slides.

Excel has several new formulas. These include MAXIFS for displaying the largest number in a range. Another new formula is TEXTJOIN to combine text from different ranges.

Which Edition?

So which edition of Office 365 Small Business should you choose?

The cheapest option is the Business Essentials package. This costs $6 per month if you pay monthly. Or you can pay the annual fee which is discounted at $60. You will only get the web versions of the programs. You will not be able to download these to your desktop.

You will still have a maximum user capacity of 300. You will have 24/7 Customer support and have 50GB of Outlook Mailbox Space and 1TB of space in OneDrive.

The next option is Office 365 Business. This costs $10 per month or $99 for an annual subscription. This lets you use the programs on your desktop as well as access OneDrive. It does not give you access to the online collaboration tools that are available in the Essentials package.

Finally, you have the Premium option. As we mentioned, this is $15 per month or $150 for a yearly subscription. This gives you access to everything in both of the previous packages.

In addition, you have added programs such as Outlook Customer Manager, Microsoft Invoicing, as well as Microsoft Booking and MileIQ.
