Having roots in London, Sam Smith born in May 1992. Initiating singing at a very young age he studied music while hitting books at St. Mary’s Catholic School. Singing was a gift of nature for Smith.
The song “Latch” helped him to hit the charts in 2012. He makes an eye contact with the brightness of limelight for the first time. He began performing as a child but the first real press he got in 2009 when his mother, a distinctive banker, utilized the banking hours for popularizing her son of age 15. She was expelled from the job for doing so. The same month (2014) his album In the lonely hour was released.
He boldly aware the media about being a gay and never having a love experience. Giving interview to the Fader he opens up;
“I have never been in a relationship before. In the lonely hour is about the guy that
I fell in love with last year, and he didn’t love me back….I was in a very dark place”
Smith idealized Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder while having a future interest in the music business.
The hit song “Stay with me” was stapled over the radio for a year. The first album served Smith with four Grammy Awards. Other awards;
